On the morning of May 4th, our city held the fifth plenary (expanded) meeting of the Youth Work Joint Conference and the promotion meeting of the pilot work for the construction of youth development oriented cities. Zhang Xu, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, presided over and delivered a speech, and Zhang Yuexian, Deputy Mayor, attended.

Zhang Xu first extended festive congratulations on behalf of the Municipal Party Committee and Government to the vast number of young people and youth workers in the city.   All regions and units should integrate youth work into the overall work layout of the city's "12345" initiative, guide the vast number of young people in the city to uphold integrity and innovation, strive for excellence, and pursue youthful ideals, release youthful passion, and make youthful contributions in the grand cause of accelerating the realization of the "three efforts to build" and "three leading positions".

Zhang Xu emphasized that it is necessary to accurately grasp the connotation and requirements of youth work as a strategic work of the Party, firmly grasp the political direction of youth work, wholeheartedly serve the growth and development of young people, fully lead young people to make achievements, and fully demonstrate the new era style of Tangshan youth. We must accurately grasp the mission of the pilot construction of youth development oriented cities, continuously optimize the environment for youth development, expand the space for youth entrepreneurship, provide services for youth talent development, strengthen the legal guarantee for youth, and build a stage for youth achievements, to ensure the successful completion of the pilot construction tasks of youth development oriented cities. It is necessary to accurately grasp the goal and task of building the work pattern of the city's young people, adhere to the leadership of the Party Committee, the responsibility of the government, the coordination of the Communist Youth League, the joint management of all departments, and the broad participation of the whole society, so that the city of Tangshan is more friendly to young people, so that young people can be more promising in Tangshan, and strive to create more and better youth scenes in Chinese path to modernization.

The meeting conveyed the spirit of the fifth plenary session of the Joint Conference on Medium - and Long Term Youth Development Plan of Hebei Province, and reported on the implementation of the "Hebei Province Medium - and Long Term Youth Development Plan" in 2022. Fengnan District, Yutian County, the Municipal Health Commission, and the Municipal Urban Management Bureau exchanged speeches.
