The spring water diversion work in our city in 2023 has been fully launched, and starting from May 1st, agricultural water will be diverted to the Fengnan Irrigation District. To ensure the smooth implementation of agricultural water diversion, the urban river supervision center focuses on the two key links of project operation and maintenance, as well as river safety and smoothness, and solidly prepares for water diversion.

Strengthen engineering management and ensure stable operation of equipment. 65 maintenance personnel were dispatched from the dam to carry out dust removal and anti-corrosion maintenance on 19 key parts of the control water conservancy projects along the Douhe River, including the opening and closing machines, charging and discharging equipment, power supply and distribution equipment, automatic control equipment, and backup power supply of steel gates and rubber dams. In particular, hydraulic locking devices were added to the Yinqiao steel dam of the Douhe River, greatly improving the accuracy of steel dam lifting and ensuring that the mechanical and electrical equipment is always in a good operating state. At the same time, in order to effectively regulate the large flow agricultural water diversion, on the basis of ensuring urban landscape water use, the upstream water situation is scientifically calculated, and water conservancy projects such as steel gates and rubber dams along the Douhe River are jointly dispatched to lower the river water level in advance, reserving sufficient storage space for agricultural water diversion.

Eliminate water blocking hazards and ensure the safety and smoothness of the river channel. The Law Enforcement Department and the Douhe Institute conducted multiple rounds of law enforcement inspections on the construction of cofferdams for river related projects, including local water obstruction and failure to remove the cofferdams in a timely manner after construction. As of now, the construction cofferdams of Longhua Bridge, Longfu South Road Bridge, Changning Road Bridge, Yuhua Road Bridge, and Jianhua Road Bridge, as well as the temporary road of Jianhua Road Bridge, have all been removed. The cofferdams of Ronghua Bridge and Steel Plant Bridge, two river related projects, have been adjusted, ensuring the water carrying capacity of the river channel. In addition, since mid April, nearly 10 tons of aquatic plants and surface garbage have been cleared, 7 illegal settlements along the river have been cleared, 140 meters of illegal fences have been dismantled, and 240 meters of illegal fishing equipment (cages) have been removed. Water blocking hazards have been promptly eliminated to ensure timely and sufficient delivery of live water from the source to the Fengnan Irrigation District, providing water conservancy support for a bountiful harvest of 500000 acres of grain in the irrigation district.
